Perkins had invited me to consider an installation at
their new Collingswood facility. The space was once
used as an auto repair shop. The ramp to the second
floor had been removed leaving a glorious opening.

When I began to conceive the piece I was inspired by
the mythology of garage inventors tinkering to do the
impossible. I re appropriated the major elements of
Roustabouts Hold, a cloud held in place. The pieces
general sentiment also reflects the holding something
precious as in Skylock.
