Snap Plate a, 2004
Installation Evolution I began work on this piece for my final show at Vox Populi. (a) The piece began as a number of delicate paths suspended in space. I was considering metal leafed surfaces. (b) It became clear to me that I was interested in a more expansive surface. I turned to my affection to billboards. A large, free standing structure proved wrong for the space. (c) When I mounted the surfaces on the walls I came dangerously close to presenting a large painting. (d) I then transferred my shapes to a hovering, horizontal piece. The final piece was Bridgehead 2. |
