Installation Proposal
Discarded TVs, Wood and Iridescent Wash
The piece would resemble the dish of a large radio
telescope or an enlarged heat shield of an entry
capsule. The glow from the TVs would be a
soothing blanket of noise.
I modeled this piece while working on the design
for Hold at Perkins Center for the Arts. I've considered
assembling TVs tuned in to noise before. The other
times the backs were towards the viewer resulting in
flickering silhouettes.
