The series title refers to my experience of making.
There is real grunt work leading to the creative process. Nuts and bolts need tightening. Ultimately, these are little more than rituals evoked to open the flow. When seated deeply in process, fleeting notions pour into my work. It’s almost as if I am deciphering telegrams written in tongues. The notes are subtle, intuitive, and often fragile. They are mysterious and poignant, chock full of meaning and devoid of context simultaneously.
